Stephanie C.
Private tutor in Los Angeles, CA
Education
I graduated from high school in 2002, at the French Lycée François Mitterrand. Then I started college in Montpellier, France, and graduated in Biochemistry and Health Biology 6 years later. In 2012, I obtained my Phd in Hematopoiesis/Immunology. Since 2013, I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine at UCLA, where I am continuing my research on thymus biology.
Experience
I have been tutoring students since late high school in a variety of classes but with a major focus on languages. More recently I have tutored one college student in the Los Angeles area who moved to Chicago. I am currently tutoring a staff scientist at UCLA who wants to get a refresher in french. I am a very easygoing person and I accept students of all ages. I am a native french speaker and despite my scientific background, I have maintained an excellent level in both written and spoken french. Typically my classes start with french grammar, orthography, conjugation and I like to finish the class with some reading. I also prepare students to SAT tests. In addition, I do conversational french if you are willing to practice your accent.

I have lived in Brazil, Spain and France, and now LA. I love traveling and connecting with people.
