Shota M.

Private tutor in Los Angeles, CA

Education

I graduated Rice University in 2014. At Rice University, I earned a B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.A. Computational and Applied Mathematics, and a B.A. Mathematics - I was a triple major. I also transferred from SUNY - Binghamton to Rice University, so if you'd like any advice for transferring universities, I could be of help!

Experience

Throughout high school and college, I have tutored middle school kids on a one on one basis, and at Rice University I was a TA for Japanese 101. To my knowledge, I have scored perfectly on the math section of the SAT twice, scored perfectly on the AP Calculus BC exam, and I have scored in the top percentile for the GRE (2015 version). I regularly take classes on Coursera (an online open courseware) and I believe learning is a powerful tool everyone should enjoy. As a tutor, I hope to show others the power of curiosity.
