-I am currently a Chinese lecturer and Program director at a University in Orange county, California. I have 10 years of experience in teaching and tutoring Mandarin Chinese both to adult and k-12 students. I am a professional well-trained Chinese teacher. I am confident that I will be able to meet the teaching challenges. -In the academic year of 2013-2014, I taught Chinese at Williams College in Massachusetts. I consistently received positive feedback in student assessments and learned how to improve through their suggestions to form a student-centered curriculum. Over the past 7 years, I have gathered valuable teaching experiences working in various teaching contexts, including those at university-affiliated language centers, private English learning centers for Taiwanese students and teaching in Chinese culture classes at a Startalk summer program, here in the United States. Also, along my English and Chinese teaching journey, I have not only taught college students, but also taught students from 1st grade to 12th grade. This great experience had not only sharpened my teaching skills but also gave me the ability of knowing “how” and “what” to do while teaching students in different age groups. - I love to help students master Chinese! Seeing students' learning outcome meets the goal we set is the best thing in my teaching life!

Weekends at any time, Monday in the evening, Tues/Thurs after 4PM, Friday after 1PM, Wednesday in the evening

Hobbies
With endless passion for teaching and an active attitude, I am able to cope with challenges with critical thinking, hard work, and also eager in learning new teaching methods/materials. Additionally, I am adept and creative in using multimedia as a teaching tool; I found that a proper use of multimedia in a classroom setting can better engage the students in their learning and better motivate them to attend and enjoy class. Having the experience of working with people from different cultural and language backgrounds, I possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, I love traveling, singing and foods. I like to integrate my hobbies with my lesson plan or the conversation with my students.
