Experience
I was a tutor all throughout High School for elementary school kids. Subjects: Math Science Language Arts (English, Spanish & French) In college I tutored other college students. Subjects: Pre Calculus Physics Dynamics Mechanics Language Arts ((English & Spanish) Due to my extensive studies of Math and Science while earning my Engineering degrees I would like to say that I not only understand but enjoy the subjects. Spanish is my first language therefore I love helping others learn what I consider to be a huge part of my culture. In H.S. I was an ESL student and applying various techniques I was able to progress quickly and within a year I was able to join the regular classes with the native English speakers. Tutoring was my first job ever and now that I have experience in Corporate America I realize that I was lucky to not only tutor other kids but even more lucky to have all the tutors and mentors as I was growing up that help guide me down the right path to have a successful career. That is exactly what I want to do for others.

I recently moved from Pittsburgh PA to Los Angeles in order to continue to grow my acting career. I split my time between my family (I have a 2 year old son and a 4 year old daughter) and working as an actress, work on my own productions (radio show and film) and independent films. I love working out, movies, cultural events and embracing diversity. Opposite to popular believe, not all Engineers are "nerdy" (given what I went to college for). I love the fact that I can work with kids to show them that there is so much more to an Engineer. I am the former president of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers - Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Through this organization we get to create opportunities for kids K-12 and college to experiment and learn about the different opportunities in the STEM field during Engineering-Week at the Carnegie Science Center.
