Caitlin H.
Private tutor in Los Angeles, CA
Education
I am a 2010 graduate of Vassar College in New York State, where I earned departmental and general honors and was selected as a Phi Beta Kappa member. For the past six years, I have been a graduate student in the Classics Department at UCLA. I earned my M.A. in Classics from UCLA in 2012, and have been working toward a Ph.D. since then.
Experience
I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience in Latin— I have taught UCLA's first-year Latin course, both as a year-long course and as an intensive summer workshop. I have also taught ancient Greek at UCLA, as well as Classics courses focusing on Greek and Roman literature in translation. I've worked as a private Latin tutor here in Los Angeles since 2010, and before that I worked as a Latin and Greek tutor for my college's Classics Department. In addition to Latin, I am available to tutor ancient Greek, ancient history, and related subjects, as well as more general English, literature, and grammar subjects.

Hobbies
Perhaps unsurprisingly for a grad student in Classics, one of my biggest hobbies is reading. I also love to knit and crochet (and I'd be glad to teach students those skills as well as more academic subjects!), and to cook and hike.
