I have lived in the United States for 4 years, and I just graduated from UCLA with a biology degree. I have always been at the top of my class (I won the High School Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology Senior Award; and I am graduating with Honors from UCLA) . I have previously tutored kids, and I love it! My favorite is teaching science, mathematics, and conversational and school Spanish but I have also previously taught English and Social Sciences. I like to base my lessons on the student's notes/textbooks from class in order to follow exactly what they will be tested on in the future. For science, I like to go over everything taught with the students, and take notes and make useful drawings in order to make it easy. For math, I like to go over plenty examples from basic to more challenging ones in order to make sure that the student got the jest of it. On the other hand, if I am teaching basic conversational Spanish, for example to a child, I like to make it more casual, and go for a coffee and talk or learn a set of vocabulary words by physically going to them and playing around. For example, if I am trying to teach the vocabulary of a set of words belonging to the topic "The Park", I like to take the student to the park and find playful ways to learn. I all depends on what the student's age and what he/she feels more comfortable with. I have taught 5 year old kids to senior high school students. I am very patient and have a good sense of humor too. I enjoy helping kids from every age solve every challenge.

I am an international student from Peru. Besides being a science nerd, I am a painter and love dancing (Specially salsa). I am taking one year off to work at veterinary hospitals before I apply to Vet School. I want to become a wild life vet and work with lions and elephants (hopefully in the Savana) I love talking and teaching people about the environment and global warming. I enjoy nature and camping.
