I am a UCLA student majoring in Art History and French. I have studied French for more than 10 years, and I have lived in France for one year. I am trained for academic French, but I am also proficient in communicative French. Besides that, I am a native speaker of Chinese. I was born and raised in Shanghai, a metropolis in China. I am very passionate about my own culture and language and I would like to share this passion with others. I had brief tutoring experiences when I was in my home town. I tutored mainly adults, and I have a methodology that helps student actively engage in the linguistic environment.

I am a world traveller. I have travelled around the world and lived in multiple countries. Meanwhile, I am also passionate about learning languages and cultures. I am proficient in English and French, and I am currently learning Italian. I am a good piano player and singer. I played piano for more than 10 years. Since I major in Art History, I love art and the history and culture related to it. Visiting museums is one of my biggest hobbies! I am also a very good cook. I enjoy cooking for myself even if I am alone at home, because cooking for me is an experience of exploration and experimentation. Whenever I cooked something nice, I feel like creating goodness.
