My name is Tyrrell Cummings I am a certified TESOL instructor and graphic designer. I have taught English to executives, CEOs, software developers, secretaries and college students. My approach to tutoring English is student driven. I attended one of Boston's most prestigious art schools, worked for Outside Magazine (a national magazine with a circulation of over 600,000) and I ran my own freelance illustration and design business.
Experience
I have a 120 hour TESOL certification—including supervised practicum—from TEFL International in Tokyo validated and accredited by Fort Hayes State University. Immediately after completing my TESOL I worked as the personal English tutor for the CEO of APCommunications in Tokyo, Japan. As a designer I have worked on national magazines, catalogs, logos, products, animations, maps and packaging. As a tutor I take the mystery out of graphic design. I can teach anyone the fundamentals of graphic design and the industry standard software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
