I once thought that I would become a mathematician; although, my desires in life have been altered as I ultimately earned a B.A. in Drama at Colorado College. After earning my degree, I spent several years in Wisconsin, at an international spiritual academy. There, I was able to meet a diverse group of students that came from all parts of the world. While my main role was to teach Drama, I also found myself helping to increase their English skills, which enabled them to translate the spiritual texts to their native language. As an ordained minister, I have been able to perform dozens of marriage ceremonies, which I feel is one of the greatest privileges of my life. I enjoy tutoring English composition because experiencing the wonder of a person's improvement in their writing and communication on paper is extremely rewarding. I'm also eager to tutor Math because it allows me the opportunity to convince another person that Math is not all that difficult, and that if given a chance, they might find they love it. During my tutoring sessions, I ask questions from students, which encourages them to improve their communication and in turn, it challenges me to ensure that I am communicating the best I can.
