Experience
I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in three classrooms: 3rd grade magnet Math and Science, 4th grade magnet Math and Science, and 4th grade home room, at Wonderland Avenue Elementary School. We employ the Cognitively Guided Instruction method in teaching Math, which has informed the way I work with students, to guide them through problem solving in a way that allows them to select and invent strategies, solidifying their understanding of the concepts. As a Theatre major, I performed various plays as Shakespeare's "As You Like It" (Rosalind), "All's Well That Ends Well" (Helena), "Two Gentlemen of Verona" (Silvia), David Harrower's "Blackbird" (Una), "Once: An Original Adaptation" (Girl), and others. I also studied the works of Brecht, Chekhov, and Beckett, and directed a production of Beckett's "Rockaby". My education has given me a strong background in language and writing.

Hobbies
I love to read and write! I also enjoy a good puzzle, which makes Math a lot of fun. I'm fascinated by Earth Science and Astronomy. I firmly believe that learning should be both challenging and enjoyable, and it is crucial to engage the student as much as possible in the learning process by asking guiding questions and presenting new concepts in ways that the particular student will appreciate, according to his or her interests and learning style.
