Graduated from University of Southern California with a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), I acquired abundant professional knowledge about ESL teaching. I have researched on various aspects of ESL education, including differentiated instruction, communicative classroom activities, maximizing students' motivation towards L2 learning, etc.
Experience
My previous teaching and tutoring experiences (over four years) have allowed me to work with ESL students from a variety of backgrounds, both inside and outside of the U.S.. I had been teaching TOEFL at New Oriental School (the most renowned private English institute in China) for almost two years. Working as a Teaching Assistant at Contreras High School in downtown Los Angeles also familiarized me with practical ESL education domestically. Deeply understanding ESL students struggles towards English learning, I catered to students' diverse needs and effectively helped a lot of learners achieve academic progress.
