I have tutored algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and chemistry in addition to piano and study skills. For four consecutive years, I have provided one-on-one tutoring, mostly with 10-17 year old students at home and outside school. I worked closely with the curriculum so students have the proper exposure to skills needed to do well in class. My style is verbal and explanatory, which is how I teach best. School administrators have recommended me extensively. I think tutors should be role models with academic qualities and an ability to exude confidence, warmth, and compassion.Academically, I earned a 40 on International Baccalaureate Diploma exams and a 34 ACT score. I received a prestigious senior scholarship from my school awarding my leadership, character, service, and academic excellence. Currently, I'm a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at USC. I enjoy working with younger children the most because I can be the role model I want to be, which I've been to my younger sister. Children respond best to things they relate to empathetically and I have the natural talent to work well with and gain trust and support of children.Otherwise, I enjoy listening to music, swimming, piano, science, space, and spending quality time outdoors.
