I am a great writing tutor because of my background in creative writing. Beyond coaching students how to write clearly and concisely, I am able to tutor students how to develop a unique point of view and ways to express themselves through language. I work as a freelance writer, copy editor, and substitute writing instructor, and wrestle with the written word every day. Many of my peers are professional writers and I am continuously solicited to provide feedback on their work. My professional level writing experience and feedback will be valuable as I help students discover their essay writing skills. When I worked as a tutor in the past, the students found me approachable, patient, and thoughtful. Now, with years more professional experience, I will bring additional maturity, skill, and confidence to the job.
