Graduated from UC Santa Cruz with degrees in Creative Writing, Psychology, and an AA in general studies. Overall GPA 3.5 Did research in language development and helped tutor incoming students in English, their essays, and editing assignments.

Experience

Have tutored kids in high school, college, and special needs children. The high schools students i tutored in math and english, the college students in english/editing papers. The special needs students i taught ASL/icon communication/speech therapy, social skills, and behavioral skills. I have three degrees in psych, creative writing, and general studies, all of which were writing intensive. Being a tutor can be gratifying. Huge strides in a students progress can be made with steady work. It's often wonderful to see the excitement when a student starts to understand their field of study. It's why I have tutored in the past.

Hobbies

I love writing and reading and plan to get my MFA in Creative Writing. I have stories I am planning to get published and I am constantly working at my craft. I also love to cook and explore the world. I love learning and always seem to have my head in a good book. I'm also a huge Lakers and Dogers fan. I have 4 sisters and 7 nieces. I love each of them very much and love being around them. I was raised on a farm in utah from 2-5. Both my parents grew up on farms. I know Spanish and ASL. I have a horrible fear of airplanes, but despite that intend to see the world one day. I just have to get over my horrible fear of airplanes.
