For the past ten years I have been a full-time Mathematics teacher: LAUSD - 2003 - 2005 (public , charter H.S.) New Roads School, Malibu 2006 - 2013 (private, M.S. Lead Teacher grades 6-8). It has been my passion to teach kids who struggle with Mathematics at all levels, but especially the middle school years. Math is like a foreign language with a different alphabet. I teach students who struggle with Math to read it as though it were words in a sentence, and comprehend it, following the supplied directions and successfully arriving at the correct answer. Since New Roads School closed it's Middle School campus in Malibu in 2013, I have been tutoring privately. My specialty is working with students who "don't get it" as I have many ways of approaching the subject matter. I've worked extensively with students who have learning disabilities, and students with Autism. I am expensive, and worth every penny, but if you cannot afford my rate, let's talk anyway - perhaps we can work within your budget.

In addition (pun intended) to being the best Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra and Algebra teacher you will ever find, I am an award-winning music producer who has worked with MANY famous artists and currently manage the heavy rock band, Piracy. I am a lifelong guitarist and ukulele player, a fledgling mandolinist, and an avid skiier/snowboarder and mixed martial artist. I have "bully-proofed" many middle school students with my elective course in Aikido, The Art Of Peace. Among countless, wonderful and groundbreaking music projects, I produced Disney's "For Our Children," as a benefit for The Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric A.I.D.S. Foundation, hailed as the greatest children's album of all time by Rolling Stone magazine which includes amazing songs recorded by Little Richard, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and many others. I am an older gentleman (60 years) and VERY patient. I am the father to two, grown children, I care for an umbrella cockatoo named Joe, a Florida box-turtle named George, a leopard gecko named Gazpacho, and a rescued bull terrier dog named Zoe. I am married for over thirty years to my darling wife and we live in a charming house in the heart of Venice, CA. My passion is getting students who struggle with Math to not only understand it, but to take pleasure in doing so. Let's begin...
