My background includes 17 years experience working with children and adults that have special needs. Previous tutoring experience includes elementary students and students with special needs of various ages. My favorite subject in school was math. I have always scored high in mathematics on the SATs and GREs. My score on the math portion of my recent GREs for graduate school was 740/800. It's a rewarding experience to observe children develop confidence as they reach their goals. Working one-on-one with a child allows me to understand his/her motivation and cognitive processes that is specific to that individual. This knowledge allows me to maximize the child's potential by adjusting various teaching strategies best suited for his/her individual needs, to be able to reach his/her academic goals.
