Education

I just graduated from UCLA this past June with a B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Science with a concentration in the history of science and a specialization in computing.

Experience

I tutored K-12th grade students for the past two years at Maethnasium, a math learning center. I was a lead instructor for the second year. I have done private tutoring with a wide range of age groups. I have worked with students as young as age four but primarily work with elementary, middle, and high school age students. I have also helped students prepare for the SAT, ISEE, and the GRE, as well as for college math courses. I received a 2180 on my SAT and a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. I hope to get my masters in math education in the next couple of years and eventually teach high school math.

Hobbies

I just graduated from UCLA this past June, but I am still bleeding Bruin blue and gold. I was part of an all female a cappella group on campus called Signature A Cappella, so my life these past four years has strangely paralleled the plot of Pitch Perfect. I am an avid hiker and world traveler. In fact, I just returned from a month of backpacking around Europe! Last summer, I lived in Kenya for five weeks and worked in a high school, teaching math classes and tutoring students. This was a life-changing experience, and I cannot wait to go back. I love folk music, sad movies, long road trips, reading, and water-coloring.
