I began as a high school tutor and reprised the same role at the University of California Santa Barbara. I earned a bachelor's degree in Literature and have continued to tutor, connecting with students to ascertain and apply lessons to their different learning methods. I am very adept at helping my students write concise essays with a solid grasp of English and its nuances. My ability to adapt to changing situations shone while on staff at an open tutoring office, where I was able to assist students with a wide and dynamic array of subject matter. I also have extensive experience tutoring ESL/ELL students, as well as teaching a university workshop on developing style and voice. In addition to college level, I have also been a tutor for English, Latin, and United States History classes for high school students as well as grade school children's reading and arts courses. My hobbies and interests include exploring the city's restaurants and hidden places, reading poetry and writing it, and the vibrant energy of concerts. I also enjoy yoga and Pilates.
