I have been in a tutor/teaching/training role of some capacity on and off for the last 12 years. As a child of academic parents, my entire life has been filled with teaching strategy and a huge emphasis on critical thinking and constant learning. I believe that learning can happen at all times and I work to live my life to facilitate as much intellectual growth as possible. When I took the SATs, it was still out of 1600; my total score was 1330 - 720 on Writing and 610 on Math. I also scored a 770 on the SATII Writing exam. To me, there is nothing more fulfilling than contributing to a person's mind expanding to understand a new or previously challenging concept. To facilitate this learning, I work hard to adapt my lessons to my students' learning styles and strengths. The best way for me to teach you is to understand where you struggle and why! I'm very active on social media and understand the nuances of sharing experiences publicly. I also have six (!) younger siblings with a 19-year age span across them all; I have helped all of them with homework, college essays, study skills, and general "life stuff" throughout the years. They all swear they continue to ask my help not because I am their older sister, but because I have a true talent for hearing what they are saying, respecting them as real people, and acting accordingly.

Hobbies
To stay active, I am a huge fan of cycling and barre classes as well as hiking. I love to explore museums - Natural History is my favorite, closely followed by modern art and photography. Visiting the the beach with a book or journaling at a coffee shop is another favorite past-time. When I need down time, I have no problem watching Friends re-runs on Netflix for a few hours!
