EducationUCLA - BA, English
ExperienceI recently graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in English while minoring in Education Studies. During the past year, I have worked full time as a tutor on the high school level, specifically mentoring ninth and tenth grade students, where I offered personal, hands-on teaching, as well as organizing after school activities and a poetry club. My extensive ELA experience provides me the comfort of tutoring subjects from English to precalculus for any grade. In addition, my successful internship at an elementary school has given me the tools to assist with homework assignments, prepare for exams, and conduct creative writing workshops. More pointedly, I have a passion for mathematics and hope to be a secondary instructor in the future. I am a proponent of educational development through performance and discussion, which encourages critical thinking in the classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, slam poetry, hiking, and I have a corny sense of humor.
