My name is Devyn, and I am looking to help you and your little (or not so little) one out over the summer. As a school psychologist and former teacher, I know what works and how to monitor if changes need to be made. I like to begin with tutoring students by assessing where they are using curriculum based measurement (CBM). After this brief assessment is completed, I like to move forward with setting a goal and working toward that goal with the family and student. Each week, students will chart their progress to encourage additional growth. At approximately 6-8 weeks, progress is reviewed and next steps are discussed. I find that this not only allows me to track progress, but also allows students to see growth over time and feel proud of their accomplishments.
