Hobbies

I've had a love for theatre and the arts since I was a young child. Over the years, my passion transformed to playwriting and storytelling. My other passion is mentoring youth in discovering their voices and what captures their imagination. Aside from the excitement of seeing the vision of my plays realized, seeing a child attain his/her dreams and knowing that I played a small role in that discovery is amongst the most gratifying experience I've had. Many of my middle school students have gone on to pursue undergraduate degrees in various courses of studies in education, arts, and sciences, as well as careers in music, theatre, and dance. Three of my former students are recipients of the Bill and Melinda Gates Scholarship.
