Experience
Hi, my name is Latoya and I have over 5 years of experience in teaching and tutoring. I love Math and History. There is a great rewarding feeling with helping others succeed and that's why I enjoy tutoring. In graduate school and college, I excelled in Calculus, Statistics and US History. I completed a consulting job where I taught 5 subjects (math, science, social studies, reading and writing) as apart of the GED/TASC exam. As an aside, I blog, write and run. I'm tech savvy and worked for Apple Inc. for over 2 years, so I'm well versed in everything Apple. Below is a list of my relevant experiences-(that make me a great tutor) : GED/TASC Course Instructor Consultant- at Sanctuary for Families -Developed an intensive 12-week TASC/GED curriculum composed of presentations and interactive online content - Oversaw student outcomes through data, assessments, and trackers to evaluate program enhancements and construct customized learning plans - Instructed 5 adult students in a 5-subject curriculum including science, social studies, math, reading and writing -Overall results: 3 out of 5 (60%) of my students passed the exam after my course.
