I attended both the University of Oregon and Loyola Marymount University during my personal educational journey. I am now an adjunct professor, and I teach British and American literature and English composition. I specialize in 20th century Renaissance literature and 20th century American literature. I believe I am a great teacher and tutor, and when I tutor, I enjoy focusing on just one student's individual needs. I can teach and explain facts and concepts in a way that is tailored to the individual student's learning style. In addition, I take great pride in leading students to success, no matter how long it takes. I am a very patient tutor, and I can teach at the pace that is most comfortable for a student and helps them learn most efficiently. I can tutor a variety of courses, including reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, public speaking, and many others. I can also help students prepare for their GED exams and standardized tests, including the ACT, SAT, and others. When not teaching or tutoring, I am a big fan of the performing arts. I especially enjoy ballet, opera, and symphonies.
