Education

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University with an English major and economics minor.

Experience

I'd love the opportunity to work with high schoolers on improving their writing skills and reading comprehension. I received a score of 5 on the AP Literature and Language tests. I received a score of 28 on the ACT and 2110 on the SAT. For the past few years, I've utilized my writing and communication skills as a digital content strategist in the professional media world. I am also a freelance writer for publications like Diffuser.fm and Paste.

Hobbies

I have a passion for literature. I'm always reading at least three books at a time -- some non-fiction ("Travels in Siberia" by Ian Frazier is a current favorite) and some fiction (I just read "Crime and Punishment" for the first time!). I also love music. I host a community radio show here in Brooklyn, and I've also created my own series of music documentaries called Pressed in America. I voraciously (or, nerdily) read music commentary and criticism. I live for the great outdoors -- I'm originally from Colorado -- and never turn down the chance to take my bicycle out for a spin!
