ExperienceDuring my extensive career as a student, mentor, and teacher, I've learned that the solution for success is more than just memorizing answers and preparing for exams. The key to helping students get the most out of their educational experiences is to teach them in a way that builds upon their existing strengths, helps them pinpoint and target their weaknesses, and allows them to relate the material so that they can apply it to their real-world knowledge so that they're empowered and ready to succeed in the professional world. For this reason, I strive to make all of my tutoring sessions interactive and filled with hands-on activities and supplemental materials that keep students engaged and happy with the learning experience. I believe that there's no such thing as a bad student, but rather one who hasn't yet learned in a way that works best for them. Instead of telling my pupils that their answers are wrong, I like to walk them through the process so that we can learn how to come across the solution together. Along with elementary and high school math, I also like to teach writing and test prep. My goal is to make sure that every student has the resources they need to succeed.
