Experience
I worked in several group homes with developmentally disabled students. After that I did some work towards a Special Education Teaching credential (still pending) and tutored in the remedial department of an elementary school. I've taken several classes on the theory of education and learning to supplement my field experience. Most importantly, however, I've learned that everyone learns differently, everyone has individual strengths and weaknesses, and that's okay. Students need patience and understanding before judgments. That's what I want to provide.
