I tutored in high school for two different students. One of the students was a second grade boy who I helped stay on track so that he would be on schedule to advance to the fourth grade. I also tutored an eighth grade student who was trying to get his grades up to get into my high school, which he ended up doing. For both students, I primarily helped them with their math homework, but I also helped with reading and grammar. In addition to these two students, I also helped out an entire fifth grade class with math and reading problems as a part of my community service class. SAT Score - 2180 ACT - 28 I want to tutor because I think it is a great way to help other people advance in their lives. I believe that kids have so much potential that they don't even realize they have, and helping them discover said potential really makes me happy. I think that I make a great tutor because I am a very friendly person and think that I am easy to talk to. I've been around and worked with so many different types of people in my life, so I find it easy to relate to all kinds of different kids and help them stay focused.
