I have many years experience tutoring math. It seems like I have been tutoring math most of my life. I guess its because I love it! I've tutored physics and pre-calculus as a lab assistant in the Community College of Philadelphia Physics Lab. I was also a lab assistant at New Mexico Tech where I assisted Professors with labs which included lots of math. As a teacher, I substituted for the School District of Philadelphia for many years. I also taught 8th Grade Math at a Title 1 Charter School in Philadelphia. The first year at the Charter School, the 8th Grade PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment) Math Proficiency Scores tripled. I was extremely proud of my students! This is what I love about teaching and tutoring. I know that everyone is capable of understanding the concepts and absorbing the material. Sometimes, its just a matter of letting them see it for themselves! And when they do, WOW! It's AMAZING! That's why I love tutoring. I love those AHA moments when students get it. I live for that! During my Educational Training, I've had Pre-Calculus, Physics, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, etc.

Hobbies
During my free time, I love watching movies. I love The Theater. I love Discovery Channel and NatGeo! I play a little piano. Before I left Philadelphia, my nieces and nephews were teaching me to play some of their favorite video games. I love my family! I love crocheting. I like sports, live! I am learning about football. I like to attend basketball, baseball and hockey games. I love to travel. And I especially love our puppy (Dilla) and our cat (Kitty). As a teacher, I am easy going and stern. I encourage. I believe in listening to and addressing any concerns that a student and/or parents have. I also have respect for people and their time. I look forward to meeting you all.
