Experience
Throughout all of my academic career, I was a straight-A, honor roll, and Dean’s List student. I tested out of enough classes that I was able to jump start my college classes and graduate a semester early. At every level in almost every class (especially math/science classes), I tutored my classmates and colleagues at my home and over the phone. I also babysat until I was 18, which involved helping children with their homework after school and over the weekend, as well as developing games and entertaining activities to keep them active. I have a fun improv comedy background, and have coached sketch and improv teams in Los Angeles, so I know how to make learning fun, enjoyable, and accessible, especially for children who have a hard time focusing on the material at hand. I have volunteered as a story-teller at different Los Angeles schools and libraries because I have a passion for cultivating creativity in children as well as helping them succeed. As a creative person, I am well-versed in tutoring reading, writing, literature, speech, Spanish, and study/organizational skills, but I especially enjoy tutoring math and science.
