I have an MA in TESL and am a native Japanese speaker.

I have taught Japanese language at high schools and community colleges in Orange county and LA county for 15 years. I also taught conversational Japanese for more than 25 years. I have been tutoring several clients. I wrote a conversational Japanese book called, "Japanese for beginners" (total 196 pages) and published 20 years ago. I enjoy teaching/tutoring to share my knowledge with my clients. Every client is different, so I learned a lot about how to adjust my teaching methodology. My focus is my clients' efficient improvement without waisting their time as well as mine. Student centered tutoring is my primary concern.

Hobbies

I also play competitive table tennis and have coached many years in Japan and in Los Angeles area. I play in the senior national games in the US and in the local tournament. I am a runner as well. I have run 30 marathons and run in Boston Marathon 3 times. Now I focus on 5K and 10K races and come in top 3 in my age group.
