I graduated from MIT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also enjoy competitive sports. I rowed on the varsity lightweight team. I took Physics classes at MIT and taught for several months. I worked in a research lab and later in the aerospace field. In between adventures, I tutored children in Reading Enrichment programs. Inspiring young minds can be a tremendous joy because they are so impressionable. My favorite subjects to teach are Math and Physics. While sometimes difficult to grasp, these two disciplines affect people almost every moment of their entire life. I love explaining difficult concepts in ways that my students can comprehend.Once they begin to understand, and eventually master the basics, students have a base from which to learn indefinitely. Each academic success can serve as a stepping stone to the next success. The world is filled with applications that engineers, mathematicians, and scientists applied that benefited the world. I love imagining that one of my students will one day make the next great discovery. I love to travel, mountain bike, and play the drums. I am passionate, and I can guarantee that it is contagious.
