Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree from California State University Long Beach with a major in Human Development and a French minor. Once in high school and then again in college I studied abroad in both Belgium and Mexico. I value those experiences dearly, and they shaped me into the person I am. Ever since I was in elementary school I acted as a tutor of sorts to my peers who were having a little more trouble with the lessons. In high school and then throughout college I put that experience to use by working as an official tutor. My main strategy when working with a student is to not only give them what they need to solve the problems at hand but also leave them with skills they can use going forward to attack any future material. It is my job to instill a level of confidence that many students seem to lack. The subjects I am most comfortable tutoring are Spanish, French, and Math. In my free time I like to stay active by riding my bike, sailing, and rock climbing, as well as reading, watching movies, traveling, and going to concerts.
