Experience
My approach to tutoring is to plan a strategy that works best for each individual student. Students' lessons should be fun, within a framework that maximizes their chance of success. Guiding a student must involve respect for his or her preferences and learning style. Pursuing a challenging goal is what drives me in life, and I see learning a new subject as a challenge that resembles a puzzle to be solved.I am now studying for a Biotechnology master's degree at Johns Hopkins University. My passion for health and health science began during my years at New York University, where I earned my B.S. degree in Public Health. At NYU, I took art history and pre-med courses to diversify my background. I am applying to study on the graduate level and planning to work towards a master's degree in Public Health. I've taught fitness classes in indoor cycling, aerobics, and other group exercise. This year I am teaching indoor cycling in New York City. I enjoy tutoring in many subjects, including French, Spanish, Reading, Writing, Algebra 1 and 2, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, and Standardized Testing. When not teaching, I love to cook, and I spend as much time as possible reading and going to art museums. My favorite authors are J.D. Salinger and Aldous Huxley.
