I'm a tutor who was born in the US but moved to France as a young child. Between that and my undergraduate experience at Georgetown University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in linguistics, I have a really good grasp of language learning and how it can be taught successfully. As a tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and levels of ability in English as a second language in French. I like to spend time with students figuring out the gaps in their knowledge, and then I work with a student to address those issues efficiently. I also like to work with students on test preparation. We will examine the test together to figure out the patterns and techniques of the questions so that students know what they're expected to provide in their answers. Students perform better on these exams when they know what they're being asked to do, and it's fun for me to work with students to figure this out. I also can help students work through homework, making sure that they are developing a full understanding of the concepts through this practice. When I have free time, I enjoy films and theater.
