I am creative, and I believe it is always valuable to think outside of the box. This comes in handy when I am helping students to make their learning experiences meaningful to them. I like to break down concepts that may seem difficult into smaller, more manageable parts. I also help students come up with strategies that will help them remember what they are learning and how to communicate what they have learned.Having graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University with a B.F.A. in Drama, my minor was Applied Theatre. During the time I attended the university, I also studied at the Experimental Theatre Wing and the Atlantic Acting School. Additionally, I sang in the Drama Cantorum choir and founded an improvisation team that was ranked nationally, called Captain Soldier. I also had the opportunity to study for a semester in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the University of the Witwatersrand.Currently, I am employed with Grey Room NYC, a theatre company, as well as Leave Out Violence, a local non-profit. I tutor in Mathematics and specialize in preparation for ACT/SAT testing. I also like to play and watch basketball, read, watch humorous programs on television, and play the guitar and piano.
