ExperienceWhile obtaining my degree in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz, I gained experience tutoring working with children and adults. Since then, I have continued working to assist others, including those that suffer from mental and developmental challenges. I also have experience teaching English as a Second Language as well as helping others with reading and writing. I have worked with many ages, from preschool age students on up to adulthood. While writing skills and Literature are the topics I enjoy teaching the most, I am also proficient in a variety of other subjects. These include, but are not limited to Hebrew, Spanish, American History, Reading, AP Psychology, Social Studies, Sociology, and Philosophy. I enjoy tutoring and I like to make the experience as fun and interesting for the student as possible. Tutoring is not just about getting results in the classroom. It is about passing on knowledge that students can use throughout their lives in a variety of different settings. When not working at UCLA developing literacy programs, I enjoy a variety of pastimes. In my free time, I like practicing yoga, bicycling, and surfing, as well as more quiet pursuits such as painting and cooking.
