While I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, geography, my favorites to teach are English and history. I also specialize in teaching history and English AP classes. I currently live in California, but I grew up in New York, and there I began tutoring middle school and elementary school students in a wide array of subjects at the local Jewish Community Center. While in college, I spent my junior year working as a tutor for the college history department. There, I helped students in all of their history classes, but I specialized in tutoring European and American history. I attended Skidmore College where I minored in Creative Writing and earned my bachelor's degree in History and Theater. When I tutor, I like to find creative ways to teach. One way I like to help students who are struggling in a subject is by helping them learn how a subject is relevant to their lives, or even help them find a very personal connection with the topic. I believe that every student can improve and succeed with the right help. When not tutoring, I enjoy watching movies, writing, and reading. I also like to stay active by playing tennis and hiking.
