My name is Leondria. As an avid reader, my literary interests vary wildly with fantasy, classical literature, graphic novels, and plays taking up a lot of my free time. I am particularly interested in stories from other cultures. I am a current graduate student at Loyola Marymount University where I am pursuing a master's in urban education. My emphasis within urban education is literacy, and while I've taught early high school English, writing, and grammar, my teaching experience also includes test prep, study skills, dance, and basic math. As an undergraduate I studied both English and theatre, also at Loyola Marymount University - where I discovered a passion for history, as well. I hope to inspire within others a passion for literature of all kinds, combating the too-oft heard "I hate reading!" as I consider reading to be one of the most important tools in life. I firmly believe that it is not a hatred of reading but rather that someone hasn't yet discovered what they love reading. My other interests include watching movies, attending theatre productions, producing plays, dancing, and writing short stories, movies, and poetry.
