I am a native of San Francisco and I graduated from San Jose State University. I currently live in Studio City, California and I have been a tutor for more than five years. I have worked with both private students and worked through public school and university programs. I have tutored students from kindergarten all the way through high school. I love working with students of all ages, and I love the challenge of getting to know individual students' needs and adapting my approach in order to provide the greatest support for them. I believe that time and patience are needed for a good tutoring relationship. I believe that discipline and perseverance are important to success, and I do my best to instill this in my students. I have solid experience in tutoring reading, phonics, standardized test preparation, and grammar. I like to use lessons from other educators and leaders who went before me, such as great men like John Wooden. Sharing what others have said about success and learning helps provide students with perspective and see the joy of education from other points of view. In addition to tutoring, I own my own property management business. I enjoy swimming, photography, cooking, gardening, and hiking.
