Experience
I consider math to be my first love, but I have innate curiosity about the world and my surroundings. I've developed a wide array of interests in my life, including carpentry, screenwriting, cooking, painting, camping, and city planning. This allows me to explain topics to students that I tutor in a multitude of different ways and from many different perspectives, which helps my students visualize and understand complex concepts. Some students don't like to learn math because they think they won't use it real life. I challenge this by showing students why what their learning is important. I also convey how beautiful math can be. Students may not go into a field where mathematics is used regularly, but it will always be a part of their life. I want to help students appreciate this. I'm looking forward to tutoring students of all ages and levels of ability in algebra one and two, calculus one and two, geometry, trigonometry, and beginning math topics. I also enjoy helping students learn test taking skills and prepare for the GRE, SAT, and other standardized assessment and admissions tests. When I have free time, I enjoy exploring the city of Los Angeles and meeting new people.
