I earned my bachelor's degree in Linguistics at NYU, and am pursuing my master's in Applied Linguistics at UCLA. I have been tutoring since my undergraduate days, and I have a true passion for teaching. I have also served as a private standardized test preparation tutor for exams like the ACT, HSPT, ISEE, and SAT. I can tutor a diverse range of subjects, including standard academics like algebra, geometry, English, and psychology, performing arts topics like music theory, piano, and voice, and a variety of languages such as French, Spanish, German, Hebrew, and Russian. I enjoy creating an individualized tutoring plan for each of my students, as every student learns differently. Using learning methods and teaching techniques tailored to each student ensures that we make the most of every session! As students develop proficiency in using learning methods and begin to master concepts, their confidence level increases, and I sincerely believe that confidence is a major factor in academic success. In my spare time, I enjoy composing music, playing the piano, reading contemporary fiction, playing with my cat, and traveling the world.
