EducationUC San Diego - Bachelor of Arts, Economics, Music , UC San Diego - MPIA, International Economics
ExperienceI'm a graduate of UC San Diego, holding a bachelor's degree in Music and Economics, as well as a master's degree in International Relations. You can tell from my degrees that I enjoy a wide variety of subject material; I only wish I had been able to study even more! I've been tutoring professionally for four years, and prior to that I was a professional music instructor, teaching people with all abilities how to play and enjoy music. This gave me a lot of great experience in learning how to tailor my teaching approach to a student's unique, individual needs in order to help them understand concepts that might be challenging or boring at first glance. I've also been in the same position of many of my students when faced with unfamiliar or confusing material. Math was a huge challenge for me in college, and I had to retake courses and work with tutors to get it. It wasn't easy, but I stuck it out. That personal experience really gives me an advantage in determining how to best work with a student's specific learning style. When I'm not busy tutoring or learning myself, I enjoy composing and playing music for fun, hiking the great outdoors, and cheering on the Padres and Chargers.
