I have a great deal of experience reading and editing papers, and I wrote for the Michigan Daily student newspaper for nearly two years prior to moving to California to finish my film degree at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles. I've taken classes at the University of Michigan such as "The Art of the Essay," "Fiction into Film," "Creative Writing," and specialized courses for my Minor in Writing program. I am an extremely seasoned writer - whether academic papers, screenplays, works of fiction or creative non-fiction - and I am a specialist when it comes to structure, diction, syntax and the overall function of a piece of writing. I'm also extremely knowledgable in the field of English, in general, as well as music and film. I want to be a tutor because I love writing, and I have a natural affinity for helping others maximize their full potential when it comes to the written word. I also understand their financial utility: I won a coveted Hopwood award through the University of Michigan worth $3,000 for a piece of my creative non-fiction work.

As mentioned, I love film, as well as great hour-long television dramas like House and The West Wing. I'm a singer-songwriter. I played Division I soccer. But nothing makes me happier than sitting down and typing away on my computer - creating a new story or screenplay.
