I earned a B.A. Degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, and an M.S. degree in Special Education from National University. I have held the appropriate credentials for over 11 years.
Experience
I am a highly qualified Special Education Teacher with over a decade of experience teaching middle and high school. I am highly qualified to teach special education students ranging from grades K-12. I am specifically familiar with the IEP process and was a case manager for 11 years, writing and helping handle IEP's for countless students with special needs. My experience and credentials allow me to tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of many students and I have been particularly successful when dealing with behavioral issues. While complying with state standards, I take into consideration the goals of my students, their IEP's, and the unique circumstances of each student's situation. In terms of tutoring, I am highly qualified to teach Social Studies as I passed the California State PRAXIS Exam. I have had the pleasure of teaching many subjects, such as Health, English, World History and Childhood Development. I utilize a variety of modalities while tutoring in areas such as visual and auditory. My goal is to augment and enrich your child's education.
