I have tutored one-on-one with a high school student for the SAT's. His score went from a 1200 to 1400 after several sessions. I want to be a tutor because I grew up with tutors, especially during my formative elementary school years. I understand their profound effect in establishing confidence in a student's own cognitive abilities. Practically speaking, it pays well and is flexible, which are perfect for me as an aspiring screenwriter.

I'm an avid camper/hiker. Over the past year, I've canoed/camped Boundary Waters, MN; snow-shoed Yosemite; scaled San Gorgonio; trekked 13 miles of switch-backs in Thousand Island Lakes; and journeyed across 26-miles of coastline on the Lost Coast Trail. Naturally, fitness and nutrition is also part of my hobbies. I eat smoothies and shakes regularly at home, and experiment with all the latest natural health food trends like camu, cacao, acai, etc, to create some powerful, nutrient and antioxidant-rich meals that can be consumed quickly in a city where, unfortunately, there isn't often much time to sit down and enjoy meals. For fun, I enjoy reading, watching movies and sometimes dancing and karaoke.
