I am a seasoned Ph.D., past NIMH/National Science Foundation fellow, and currently an adjunct professor who teaches at a local university. I am a published researcher who has also conducted citywide community assessments and other evaluations. I coach and provide developmental editing support to graduate students at the masters and doctorate levels - both in person and electronically. Aside from teaching and coaching, I serve as a technical editor for dissertations and theses, as well as other academic projects and writing (see my website at www.thedissertationsage.com). In addition to my extensive academic and coaching work, I am an expert in human/social services policy and management, and have authored many publications in government websites and scholarly journals. I am a warm, intuitive, and well-seasoned and enjoy students of all ages and cultures. I pride myself on embracing a combination of unique problem solving ability, people skills, and expertise in a broad array of subjects and fields. I have two loving adult children of my own, and understand how to support and encourage students. I simply enjoy supporting, guiding and, perhaps most importantly, inspiring students! I am happy to coach, tutor, and support students individually and in pairs and small groups - please ask me for the fees. I have a fabulous workshop curriculum on the first three chapters of the dissertation. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation - please ask me about that. In general, this is my fee schedule: • Basic tutoring - $65 - $80, depending on the nature of the issues. My editing rate is $65 per hour or $11.95/page for developmental editing (this is when you ask me to review early drafts that need considerable development), and $8.75 for standard editing. For thesis/dissertation coaching my rate is $80/hour My fees can be reduced when you purchase a package of sessions – please ask for prices. I accept cash and Paypal. I accept personal checks after the first three sessions. Thank you - look forward to working with you!

I am a master figure skater, having been a competitive skater in my youth and, then again, as an adult master up until 5 years ago. I still skate about once per week.
