Hobbies

To describe my interests as eclectic would be an understatement. Sports and physical disciplines have been a large part of my life, ever since I was a little kid; I've swam on a team since the age of five and done figure skating, gymnastics, tennis, and soccer over the years. Most recently I've picked up volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and karate. I love striving for self improvement and I love helping other people do the same. Whether that's in the pool, on the field, or in the classroom, I greatly enjoy helping others obtain the resources, grasp the knowledge, and learn the methods to achieve their goals. I also love to read novels, write short stories, belt out Disney songs, dance like nobody is watching, work on my photography skills, and make music. Books are like little pieces of chocolate to me. The past spring break, I read one 300+ page novel per night, spending on average 3 hours per book. I then draw inspiration from what I've read into creating my own characters and casting a vision for my art. In tutoring, I will use my creative abilities to help you understand the material, creating analogies, using multiple information delivery methods, and ultimately helping you find what works best for you. I'm self taught on many things and some of my more obscure talents include, balloon sculpting, line dancing, and street magic (particularly card tricks). So if you want a tutor who can make a balloon animal for you after you've aced your test, then I'm the one for you!
