I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2014 with a degree in Sociology and a background in Cognitive Science. I received my TESOL certificate in December 2014 and am a certified ESL teacher. I have taught students in Cambodia and Vietnam, ages ranging from 4- 16. I am currently a Psychology post- baccalaureate student.

Teaching young learners allowed me to fully utilize my strong spoken and written English skills in a dynamic learning environment as well as develop a greater sense of international and intercultural awareness. Not only did I teach​ ​grammar, reading, and writing skills, but I also prepared my students for the Cambridge ESOL Exams by teaching them vital test taking strategies. ​ I have also worked as an after school program assistant at Sage Mentoring Program where I was in charge of supervising the 5th and 6th grade classes at a local elementary school in an after school art program. Furthermore, I was a volunteer tutor at Oakland Asian Students Educational Services and a mentor for Women and Youth Supporting Each Other. Hobbies

I play the banjo and the piano. My students will appreciate my intuitive skills and my ability to always make learning fun. I seek meaning in relationships, ideas, and events with an eye toward better understanding of themselves and others. I am interested in graduate studies on transgenerational psychopathology, epigenetics, and bioethics. I desire a career in which I am able to promote human potential.
