Experience
For the past three years I taught English at Santa Monica High School, which I earned a job immediately after completing my credential program and student teaching assignment there. My years teaching have given me the qualifications necessary to teach writing and various other related subject matter to teens. I am currently employed as a Graduate TA at CSULA where I will be the primary instructor of Freshman level writing courses. I can absolutely teach the skills needed for analytical reading and critical writing--skills that can help students achieve success on standardized tests and writing assignments. I have taken courses designed to help me improve my overall writing instruction at the college level, and will continue to take these courses through the 2013-14 academic year. I currently hold a Clear Credential for English Language Arts (CLAD) for secondary education. In addition to my teaching qualifications, I have a passion for teaching and helping students improve and achieve success. I work very well with people and really enjoy teaching adolescents.
